Arkessa is delighted to announce that they have been selected by the IOT Breakthrough Awards as a joint winner of the “Smart City Deployment of the Year”, in partnership with Ericsson and Voi.
The purpose of the IoT Breakthrough Awards program, which has a six year history, is to recognise the innovators, leaders and visionaries from around the globe in a range of IoT categories. This year's program attracted more than 3,850 nominations from companies all over the world.
The joint entry from Arkessa, Ericsson and Voi focusses on the important role technology is playing in improving quality of life in cities. Specifically, how it helps combat noise, pollution and congestion and create a more sustainable, efficient community.
The partnership brings together Voi’s electric scooter sharing within cities and local communities which are connected and managed by Arkessa using Ericsson’s IoT platform.
Regarding this win, James Johnson, Managing Director at IoT Breakthrough, said “We want to congratulate Ericsson, Voi and Arkessa for working together to create a micromobility service that has the potential to help cities around the world transform their mobility concepts. Together they are our choice for ‘Smart City Deployment of the Year.’”
